Maximum Glitter

I recently discovered glass glitter. Glass glitter has been around for over a hundred years and it is still being manufactured in Germany.

If you're into DIY or just love sparkle then you will love this:

I hit my stumble button and found the most wonderful things...

The best way to procrastinate when you have to write 7,000 words is to install a stumble toolbar to your browser and when the moment strikes hit your stumble button.

Random websites will fill your screen some crap, some absolutely amazing:

Modern Living

be prepared for hours of procrastination whilst viewing these beautiful animations reminiscent of Robert Longo's Men in the Cities paintings

Hoggafelahage

All I know is this is acapella horses. Click on a horse to make him/her sing click again to make him/her stop.

Rafael Rozendaal
This man is a genius. I strongly encourage you to view all of his animations.Simply superb!

The Lotus Eater
Haunting and wonderful.

These wonderful sites made my day so I had to share them.

Made My Day

Last Friday my Package from Tokyomade arrived by courier.
There was loads of seafoam-green tissue paper,a handful of cool postcards (one of which had a 'thank-you' note written on the back) a cute eraser and stickers!

The Stuff I actually ordered was cool too:

'Jello' resin ring. Bigger than I was expecting (My Boyfriend reckons I'll sprain my wrist wearing it!). By: Honey Bunny

Resin necklace with tiny, plastic, glow-in-the-dark jellyfish.

Jelly Shoes (you know you secretly love them)

Do they make your feel like they've been shoved into plastic sandwich bags?

Do they give you blisters?

Do you care?

I know Jelly's are supposed to be some sort of Fashion no-no (well I've seen a lot of hate spouted about them on various fashion blogs lately) but they look like candy and they're cheap (all designer incarnations excluded!).

Things that are cheap and look like candy generally tend to make people happy and is that so wrong I ask?

Seduced by their bright colours and memories of childhood summers I recently went on a binge:

All Jellies pictured are by JUJU and were purchased from the following lovely ebay sellers:

  • 404huges

  • hollyxwx

  • honey_bee08

I am currently coveting the many wondrorius jelly shoes produced by Melissa. In particualr the Vivienne Westwood and Alexandre Herchovitch collaborations:

Surely these are beautious enough to make you renounce your jelly-hating ways?

Diana F+ 'Dreamer'

I would just like to start by saying that the Uraban Outfitters chain in North America is a million times better stocked than it's UK counterparts.

I've become a bit obsessesed with lomos lately, specifically the Diana F+ model. They are all plastic and like their cousins the 'Holga' come in candy colours.

If you go to the offiicial lomography website you will find the special addition white Stripes Diana F+ (meg) and Holga (Jack) in bright red plastic complete with peppermint swirl dials and filters.

But the best discovery I made the other day was the Diana F+ made exclusively for Urban Outfitters in America. The pistachio ice-cream coloured Diana F+ 'Dreamer':
